Mary Brandon, DO
Founder | Medical Director

Dr. Mary Brandon is a board-certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist and the visionary founder of Beauty Awakened, established in 2021. With a deep commitment to merging science and self-care, she created Beauty Awakened to offer accessible, everyday wellness and beauty solutions for the Richmond community.

Dr. Brandon began her medical journey in General Surgery at George Washington University, completed her Anesthesiology residency at the University of North Carolina, and went on to pursue a fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesiology at Duke University. She is certified in aesthetic injectables, including BOTOX® and dermal fillers, and in IV nutrition therapy — combining clinical precision with a passion for helping others feel their best.

As a mother of five, Dr. Brandon understands firsthand how the demands of daily life can leave you feeling depleted. At Beauty Awakened, she leads a team devoted to restoring balance, confidence, and vitality — offering care that’s both medically grounded and personally uplifting.

Sarah Werner, RN, MHL
Wellness & Weight Loss Specialist

Sarah is a Registered Nurse with deep roots in Midlothian and a passion for helping clients feel their absolute best — inside and out. With a clinical background spanning med-surg, home health, hospice, and the Emergency Department, Sarah brings both experience and empathy to every aspect of care.

Sarah is Beauty Awakened’s Wellness and Weight Loss Specialist, focusing on IV therapy, medically guided weight loss, and holistic health programs. Her true passion lies in guiding clients toward long-term vitality through evidence-based, personalized care.

Sarah holds a Master’s in Healthcare Leadership from Wake Forest School of Medicine, equipping her with a unique blend of clinical expertise and strategic insight. Outside the treatment room, you’ll find her traveling, reading, or spending quality time with her husband Brad and their son, Briggs.

Taylor Cesena
Licensed Master Esthetician

Born and raised in Chester, Virginia, Taylor is a dedicated Master Esthetician with a passion for helping others feel confident and comfortable in their skin. With a warm and welcoming approach, she works closely with each client to understand their unique skincare goals and create personalized treatment plans that deliver results. 

Outside the treatment room, she enjoys traveling, camping, and spending quality time with her beloved fur babies, family, and friends.

Aaren Cesena Ramos

Aaren is one of our skilled aesthetician at Beauty Awakened, specializing in esthetic lymphatic drainage for the head and neck, as well as intraoral massage. She creates a calming, welcoming space where you can truly relax, reconnect, and feel at ease in your own skin.

Passionate about helping clients feel confident and building genuine connections, Aaren offers more than just a service, it’s an experience.

When she’s not in the treatment room, you’ll find her cooking at home, enjoying farm-to-table dining, or exploring her local farmers market.

Sarah S, BSN

Sarah has a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Certified Personal Trainer with a desire to help clients achieve their wellness and weight loss goals through a comprehensive approach. With over 16 years of experience in both critical care nursing and as a fitness professional, she strives to meet clients where they are and build a lifestyle around their goals. 

Sarah is one of Beauty Awakened’s Wellness and Weight Loss Nurses. She loves to work with her clients to build their self confidence and attain sustainable goals. Sarah is focused on medically guided weight loss, IV therapies, aesthetics, and creating workout plans all with a holistic approach. 

You can find Sarah outside of the treatment room homeschooling her three children, spending time with her husband, actively engaging at her church Old Powhatan Baptist, and teaching fitness classes at EPIC Fit gym in Powhatan.

Maddie H
Client Care Coordinator

Maddie, our Client Care Coordinator, is currently in her second year of college, working toward becoming a Registered Nurse with plans to enter the aesthetic industry. She has a strong passion for beauty, wellness, and patient care and is eager to learn more about the beauty and wellness industry. In her downtime, she loves to spend time with family and her fur baby.
